Atletico Madrid, under the leadership of Diego Simeone, will be a guest on its rival Arsenal today, Tuesday, at the Emirates Stadium, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League (Champions League).

The British news agency (PA Media) reported that the Spanish team stayed in a 4-star hotel before its heavy loss to Arsenal with a score of (0-4) in the league stage last October.

She added that Atletico Madrid moved to another 5-star hotel in East London after the first-leg draw (1-1) in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Press reports stated that Simeone decided to change his residence, because he believed that being in the same hotel that witnessed their quadruple loss would bring misfortune to his team.

Diego Simeone was asked in the press conference held yesterday, Monday, about the validity of these allegations, and he answered, saying: “Our situation now is better than it was in October, and the new hotel was cheaper. That is why we changed the hotel,” before he started laughing.

He added: “We are completely convinced of what we want, but it will not depend on us. We are convinced of what must be done, and the plan must be implemented until the end.”

Simeone praised the capabilities of his striker Julian Alvarez, saying: “Julian is a player to be reckoned with in these important matches. He knows the English Premier League well, and he gave a great performance in the first leg. We hope that he will be able to respond in the way the match requires.” (Russia Today)
