The issue of launching a direct airline between Lebanon and Canada emerged on the agenda of official discussions by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raji, during his current visit to the Canadian capital, Ottawa. والتي شملت أيضاً مناقشة الأوضاع في جنوب لبنان، ومسار المفاوضات اللبنانية – الإسرائيلية، فضلاً عن الدعم الكندي لمؤسسات الدولة اللبنانية وتوطيد أواصر التعاون الثنائي.
In terms of strengthening service ties, Raji met with his Canadian counterpart in the transportation sector, Stephen MacKinnon, and discussed with him ways to launch a direct airline between the two countries given its strategic importance to the Lebanese community residing in Canada. واتفق الجانبان على إبقاء قنوات التواصل مفتوحة عبر الجهات المختصة في البلدين لمتابعة دراسة المشروع وجوانبه المختلفة، من دون تحديد موعد رسمي لإطلاقه بعد.
