The United Arab Emirates has renewed its adherence to the diplomatic option to resolve regional crises, calling for the language of wisdom and political solutions to prevail amid the escalating tensions the region is witnessing on more than one front.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement issued on Wednesday, that dialogue and commitment to international law represent the two basic pillars of addressing the current crises, based on the country’s consistent approach to settling disputes through peaceful and diplomatic means.
The Ministry stressed the need to intensify diplomatic efforts and enhance coordination with regional and international partners to contain tensions and prevent the expansion of confrontations, in a way that preserves regional security and stability and safeguards opportunities for development and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
This UAE position comes at a time when the region is witnessing escalating tensions, in parallel with the movement and intense regional and international mediation efforts seeking to contain the crises and consolidate the foundations of sustainable peace.
