Representative Major General Jamil Al-Sayyed believed that the accelerating political and security movement in the region reflects remarkable regional and international transformations, highlighting high-level meetings held in both Tehran and Moscow.
Al-Sayed indicated, in a post on the “X” platform, that a regional meeting was being held in Tehran that included the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, the Saudi Defense Minister, the head of Turkish Intelligence, and the Commander of the Pakistani Army. He also pointed to another upcoming meeting in Moscow that brings together the Russian and Iranian presidents and the Emir of Qatar.
In his reading of the implications of these meetings, Al-Sayed considered that US President Donald Trump seemed to be the “present absentee” in the scene, while he described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the “disturbed absentee.”
These developments come in light of intense consultations and cross-border political and security contacts, amid wide anticipation of the extent to which these regional and international movements will reflect on the course of events in the region during the next stage.
