The Lebanese government registered a new official position in solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, following the attack that targeted worshipers in the Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate, which sparked a wide wave of condemnations.
In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement today in which it expressed its strong condemnation of the incident, confirming its denunciation in the strongest terms of “the terrorist attack that targeted worshipers in the Hammoud Church in the Karak Governorate in the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.”
This Lebanese position comes within a series of official and political reactions that expressed firm solidarity with Jordan, following the attack that occurred during a funeral ceremony inside the church and resulted in deaths and injuries, in parallel with the Jordanian authorities continuing their investigations to uncover the circumstances of the attack and determine the identity of those involved in it.
