Qalibaf warns Washington: War with Iran will open the gates of hell

Today, Thursday, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, warned the United States of America against resorting to the military option against his country, stressing that any new confrontation would bring on Washington “catastrophic” repercussions affecting the military, economic, and social aspects of the American interior.

Qalibaf said, in a blog post published on his account on the “X” platform: “If you think that war with Iran will benefit you, you are delusional,” noting that this path carries “at least 10 bitter consequences.” He explained that these consequences begin with the collapse of financial markets and the loss of fighter planes, and do not end with the worsening public debt, rising inflation rates, and the fall of more American soldiers on the battlefields.

The Iranian official stressed that “each of these consequences will be disastrous for American society,” addressing Washington by saying: “You do not have to take this path, but if you choose it, you will have to bear all its consequences,” calling on the American administration to retreat from escalation and stay away from “this bitter and fruitless game.”

These threats come in light of the escalation of tension over the Iranian file, coinciding with increasing talk in Washington about studying new military options against Tehran. In this context, the New York Times reported that the US Army, under the guidance of President Donald Trump, has prepared a package of options for resuming large-scale combat operations, including a scenario for an intense military campaign that may last three days.

As the level of mutual threats increases, the confrontation between the two sides enters a very sensitive phase, during which Tehran seeks to confirm that any potential military strike will not remain confined to the field, but rather its repercussions will extend directly to ravage the economy and stability of American society.
