In light of its continuous endeavor to enhance its academic presence locally and in the Arab world, the Lebanese University achieved advanced positions in the “QS 2027” classification, which raised parliamentary demands for the necessity of fortifying the educational edifice and distancing it from political tensions.
In this context, Representative Edkar Traboulsi praised, via the “X” platform, the achievements achieved by the university according to the aforementioned classification, noting that it topped the Lebanese universities in terms of the percentage of doctoral degree holders, and ranked second nationally in terms of academic reputation.
Traboulsi explained that the classification placed the university among the top 20 Arab universities in terms of academic reputation and graduates’ readiness for the labor market.
The representative stressed that protecting the stability of the university constitutes a “national duty,” calling for making wise decisions that serve its progress and do not harm it. He also touched on the sabbatical issue, stressing the need for it to be a source of support for the stability and development of the academic institution, and not for it to become a threat to its stability.
