Israeli alert in anticipation of a surprise attack from Iran and Hezbollah

In recent days, Israel has raised its security alert level in anticipation of a possible escalation, coinciding with the approaching date of the elections scheduled for October 27th, and in light of the increasing warnings on various fronts and the sensitivity of the stage.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that at this stage there is no concrete information indicating the intention of Iran or Hezbollah to launch an attack on Israel, but the Israeli army continues to closely follow developments. In the same context, the Commission quoted an Israeli security source as saying on Thursday: “We are working to not reach a situation where we are surprised by an attack.”

Estimates indicate that since last week, Iran has been conducting experiments in the field of ballistic missiles and drones, which are developments that the Israeli security establishment is constantly monitoring.

The increase in the degree of readiness comes as a result of a series of threats made during recent days by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir. The repetition of these threats and the possibility of a miscalculation contributed to pushing Israel to take these precautionary measures, despite the absence of direct indicators indicating the imminence of an attack.
