Today, the Lebanese Army evacuated one of its fixed points in the vicinity of the Jarmaq area in the south of the country as a precaution, after the area was subjected to Israeli artillery shelling, in order to avoid any potential risks to the safety of the soldiers until the bombing stopped, according to what was reported by the correspondent of the “Lebanon Debate” website.
In the field context, the southern sector witnessed a wide wave of escalation, which included a raid launched by Israeli warplanes on the town of Hadatha in the Bint Jbeil district, coinciding with an intense flight of military aircraft at low altitude, and Israeli forces burning homes on the outskirts of the eastern town of Zawtar, and throwing flares over the towns of Majdal Zoun and Al-Mansouri and their surroundings.
The Israeli bombing, which began in the early hours of dawn, focused on several axes, including Doha Kafr Rumman, the outskirts of Mifdoun, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, and Kafr Benit, in addition to Wadi al-Saluki, the outskirts of Ghandouriya, al-Qantara, and Wadi Hassan near Majdal Zoun, and the surroundings of the towns of Hadada and Haris.
Sporadic Israeli bombings and bombings also affected a number of other towns and regions of the south, most notably: Hula, Mays al-Jabal, al-Mansouri, al-Qantara, Aitaroun, Talousah, Beni Hayyan, Wadi al-Hujair, and the outskirts of Baraashit, amid continued field tension along the various southern fronts.
