This afternoon, southern Lebanon witnessed a large-scale field escalation, including Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling that affected several areas, in conjunction with ground movements and intense military aircraft overflights.
The correspondent of the “Lebanon Debate” website reported that the Israeli artillery shelling targeted Wadi Zabqin and Marj Al-Khiyam, while warplanes launched raids that targeted the Al-Arayesh area on the outskirts of the town of Haris, and the plain area in the town of Hadada.
In the same field context, the correspondent monitored the incursion of two Israeli armored vehicles, accompanied by bulldozers, towards the riverbed in the western town of Zawtar this afternoon, where the incursion force carried out combing operations in the area.
In terms of air operations, Israeli warplanes carried out mock raids over a number of southern regions in conjunction with flying at low altitude, in addition to dropping flares over the town of Al-Mansouri and its environs, thus completing a scene of mutual escalation between raids, artillery shelling, ground incursion, and aerial reconnaissance.
