The decline of the “current” saves the Siege School from closure

The Hissarat Town Authority of the Free Patriotic Movement welcomed the reversal of the decision to close the secondary section at Joan Assi Public School, following a broad movement led by political, educational and social activities in the town, considering that this step represents a victory for the right of the people of the region to educational attainment and a guarantee of the continuity of the educational institution.

In a statement issued by it, the authority thanked everyone who contributed to conveying the cry of the people of Hissar to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Rima Karami, which resulted in the reversal of the closure decision. She specifically thanked the Rapporteur of the National Education, Higher Education and Parliamentary Culture Committee, MP Edgar Trabelsi, the lawyer Wadih Akl, and the engineer Jean Gibran, in addition to the religious, political and social figures, the general population of the town and its party and independent activities that supported this vital demand.

The Authority affirmed that this achievement demonstrates that unity of ranks and concerted efforts are the basic foundation for achieving the right demands, stressing that a unified voice based on will and determination is capable of correcting decisions that affect the interests of citizens and the future of their children.

The Hisarat Authority concluded by renewing its firm commitment to stand alongside the people of the town and defend their rights, stressing that the process of demanding rights continues without stopping, and its permanent slogan: “Together we protect our school, safeguard the rights of our children, and preserve the future of Hisarat.”
