Beirut – As part of his ongoing follow-up of the economic files, services, and vital productive sectors in Lebanon, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri held a series of meetings at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh, focusing on the air transport and agriculture sectors.
In this context, Berri received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Middle East Airlines Company and its General Manager, Mohammed Al-Hout, where the general conditions of the company and the conditions of its workers were discussed. The meeting discussed the pivotal role played by the national carrier in maintaining air traffic and ensuring communication between Lebanon and abroad in various circumstances, given the great importance the aviation sector represents at the economic and service levels.
On the other hand, the Speaker of the House of Representatives received a delegation of banana exporters headed by Abu Ayman Numeiri, to follow up on the issues of the agricultural sector and banana exporters in Lebanon. The two sides reviewed the challenges facing farmers and exporters, highlighting the economic and social importance of this sector, which constitutes an essential source of income for many families and agricultural areas.
These moves fall within Berri’s continued interest in sectors directly related to the movement of the national economy, securing job opportunities, and maintaining the continuity of productive activity in the country.
