Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the sidelines of the 18th summit of leaders of the BRICS countries in the Indian capital, New Delhi, where the two sides discussed strategic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation and ways to develop them.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed conveyed the greetings of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the Russian President, and his wishes for good health for him and for Russia and its people further progress and prosperity.
For his part, Putin, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, conveyed his greetings to the President of the UAE, wishing the UAE and its people continued prosperity and progress.
The two sides discussed ways to support bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest, in a way that serves mutual interests and keeps pace with the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, and stressed the importance of continuing coordination on the outcomes of the BRICS summit and working to translate them into practical initiatives that serve everyone.
