Mourinho said, in statements published on the official website of Real Madrid: “Bellingham is a player who is strict with himself and with his teammates, and this is what I like about him.”

The Portuguese coach explained that he agreed with Bellingham to give him a greater attacking role, adding: “I do not want to see Jude defending as if he were a second left defender, which is what I have seen him do many times.”

Mourinho expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his players, but pointed out the decline in organization during the last twenty minutes, after the team practically guaranteed the result of the match.

He said: “I am very happy with everyone’s performance, because everyone contributes. But when you are three goals ahead, the team may tend to lose some organization and relax a little.”

He added that Real Madrid seeks to establish a style based on advanced pressure, recovering the ball in high areas, and continuing the attack without retreating backward, but he acknowledged the difficulty of maintaining the same energy and mentality throughout 90 minutes.

Regarding Bellingham’s chances of competing for the Ballon d’Or, Mourinho said that Real Madrid includes more than one candidate, describing the English player as a “wonderful midfielder.”

He also praised the performance of Eduardo Camavinga, stressing that he played a strong match and showed a positive reaction, in addition to the commitment of Federico Valverde, Bernardo and the rest of the players.

Mourinho warned his team of the difficulty of the upcoming confrontation against Real Betis in Seville, saying: “We have a very difficult match, and we must do our best.” (Sky News Arabia)
