Lebanon participates in 12 games in the Mediterranean Games in Taranto

The internationally recognized Lebanese Olympic Committee announced during a press conference the official sports delegation participating in the twentieth edition of the Mediterranean Games, which will be hosted by the Italian city of Taranto during the period extending from August 21 to next September 3, with the participation of 26 Mediterranean countries.

The Lebanese delegation is headed by Jacques Tamer and managed by Philippe Tamer, as Lebanon competes in the tournament across 12 sports, and the lineup includes:

– Wrestling: Coach Mahdi Muqallad, and player Muhammad Hussein Awarki.

– Fencing: Coaches Rita Abu Jaoude and Antoine Ounissi, and male and female players: Mary Jaoude Abu Jaoude, Anthony Bassil, Ghadi Al Shamali, Antoine Choueiri, and Philippe Wakim.

– Triathlon: Coach Ahmed Khalifa, and player Andrew Doharty.

– Weightlifting: Administrator Khader Moukalled, coach Hassan Al-Qaisi, and lifters Nadia Al-Samman and Alexa Marie Mina.

– Crossbow: Coach Jacques Rayes, and players Ismail Ibrahim and Marian Allam.
– Swimming: Coach François Ghattas, male and female players: Youssef Abboud, Ahmed Safia, Tia Obaid, Rayan Arkadan, Lauricia Rita Awad, Angela Doumanian, Lynn Al-Hajj, Munther Kabbara, Talin Murad, and Farid Zidan.

– Gymnastics: Coach Ibrahim Al-Dah, and players: Luna Berjawi, Lamar Al-Shami, Sarah Marwa, Sarvina Siro-Bian, and Olga Stryjakova.

– Judo: Coach Fadi Yoshido Al-Sikali, male and female players: Fadi Al-Sikali, Diego Al-Sikali, Aqualina Al-Shayeb, and Yara Tarabay.

– Shooting: Players: Ghassan Baaklini, Alain Moussa, and Samer Sarkis.

– Taekwondo: coaches Elie Elia and Maribella Bouhabib, and male and female players: Carla Boustani, Laetitia Aoun, Peter Zarifa, Mark Zarifa, Carla Demian, Yamen Faraj, Youssef Faraj, and Sarah Saliba.

– Athletics: Coach Wilfried Kranter, and players Noureddine Hadid and Aziza Sabiti.

– Table Tennis: Coach Ahmed Harb, male and female players: Michel Abi Nader, Talia Azar, Besan Sheri, and Saad El-Din Al-Habash.
