In a tragic accident, more than a thousand people were killed in a huge land slide that came to an entire village in the Darfur region in western Sudan, according to the “Sudan Liberation Army” movement that controls the region.
Tringer is located in Jabal Marra in the center of the Darfur region, western Sudan. Jabal Marra extends between the states of the center, north, and southern Darfur. The village is located in the middle part of the mountains, and it is known as one of the important agricultural villages, especially in the production of oranges, lemon and some types of vegetables.

Also, the area that was struck by the earthquake in the mountain consists of a highly sliding dirt layer, and faced in the past years similar but less destroyed events. Pictures and statements of citizens whose origins of the region have come to the area that the rough roads leading to the village and the difficulty of security conditions reduce the movement of vehicles in their vicinity, and slow down from the arrival of rescue teams or humanitarian aid. Also, the village is subject Tersen in Jabal Marra for the control of the Sudan Liberation Army, led by Abdel Wahed Nour, and according to the movement’s statistics, the number is 1,000 people, all of whom were killed in this terrestrial slip.
