In light of the continuation of the war in Gaza, US President Donald Trump considered that the conflict is harmful to the image of Israel on the international scene, noting that Israel may achieve field victories but will face losses in its international relations.

In his interview with the Daily Coller website, he added that the war negatively affects the influence of Israel, especially within the US Congress, expressing his surprise at the changes that occurred in Israel’s position in American politics. He explained that the influence of the Israeli lobby is no longer the same as it was in the past, and that popular support, especially among the young Republicans, is witnessing a remarkable decline. Trump’s statements came to comment on the Pew Research Center poll last March, which showed that 53% of Americans had a negative view of Israel, compared to 42% in 2022.
