Russia pumps 11.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe


Russian gas exports to Europe increased through the “Turkish torrent” line by about 7% during the period from January to August compared to the same period last year.


The volume of pumped gas through the crossing point on the Turkish Bulgarian border reached about 11.5 billion cubic meters during the first eight months of 2025, recording an increase of 6.7% over the same period last year.
The “Turkish torrent” is a dual pipeline that extends across the Black Sea, where the first pipeline is devoted to the supply of gas to consumers in Turkey, while the second pipeline is transporting gas to southern and southeastern countries, including Serbia, Romania, Greece, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Hungary.
