The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received this evening at Baabda Palace, Advisor to the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Yazid bin Farhan, where the situation in Lebanon and the region was presented in light of recent developments and the course of the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations in Washington.
During the meeting, President Aoun conveyed to Prince Yazid his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the decision taken by the Saudi leadership to resume the import of Lebanese agricultural and industrial products.
The President of the Republic reiterated the gratitude of all Lebanese for this step, considering that it once again confirms the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s permanent standing by Lebanon in various circumstances and fields.
Aoun also wished the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued progress, prosperity and security.
