Representative Adeeb Abdel Masih affirmed his support for the positions of the Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, stressing his support for the project of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and considering that Lebanon has begun to witness “bold stances” to restore the state and strengthen its institutions.
Abdul Masih’s words came after his meeting with Mufti Derian at Dar al-Fatwa at the head of a delegation, where he congratulated him on the blessed Eid al-Adha and his safe return from performing the Hajj rituals, stressing that he stands by his national positions and the positions of the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council.
Abdel Masih said that they renewed their commitment to everything national, and their support for the path led by President Aoun and President Salam to save Lebanon from the crises it is going through.
He criticized what he described as “the uniqueness of Hezbollah and Iran” in making decisions that led to Lebanon being plunged into conflicts that the Lebanese had nothing to do with, considering that the majority of the Lebanese refuse to turn the country into an arena for others’ conflicts.
He added that the commitment to the project of the Lebanese state and government aims to “recover the previously hijacked state,” noting that the Lebanese leaders have begun to take bold steps and positions in this direction.
He concluded by stressing the continuation of work to reach a comprehensive truce and neutralize Lebanon from regional conflicts, stressing the continuation of cooperation and coordination with Dar Al-Fatwa on this path.
