The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the opening of an electronic visa center in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, next month, with the aim of facilitating the procedures for submitting visa applications and accelerating their completion for clients from within Lebanese territory, according to the official Emirates News Agency, WAM.
In this context, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Omar Obaid Al Shamsi, confirmed that this step comes “within the framework of strengthening relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and an important step to push cooperation between the two countries to new horizons,” indicating that the new center will enable those wishing to travel to complete all visa procedures locally, which will contribute to shortening the “customer’s journey” and speeding up transactions in accordance with the approved rules and regulations.
Al Shamsi explained that the inauguration of the center embodies the UAE’s leadership in adopting innovative digital solutions aimed at simplifying procedures and raising the efficiency of services provided, as well as providing a flexible and seamless experience for customers inside and outside the country, in line with the national strategy for digital transformation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that this step reflects the UAE’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Lebanese Republic, and improving the quality of services provided to the public by providing advanced service windows that complete transactions directly from the capital, Beirut.
