The Union believed that targeting the agricultural sector represents an attempt to break the will of farmers who cling to their land, and reveals the entity’s endeavor to attack the foundations of life and production in the border villages. He affirmed his full solidarity with the people of Badiyas and the south, stressing that these attacks will not discourage farmers from continuing to cultivate their land.
The Union criticized the absence of the Lebanese authority from carrying out its duties, asking about emergency plans to support steadfastness and compensate for repeated losses in the agricultural sector, considering that the absence of the state exacerbates people’s suffering in the face of aggression. He also called on official and humanitarian bodies to take urgent action to assess the damage and compensate those affected, stressing that the option of “steadfastness and resistance” is the way to protect the land and national sovereignty.
