Portuguese striker Gonzalo Ramos entered Barcelona’s interest, after Paris Saint-Germain expressed its openness to the idea of his departure during the upcoming summer transfer period.

The Catalan club is looking for a new striker, in light of the ambiguity of the future of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres at Camp Nou.

Barcelona has recently been linked to several attacking names, most notably Julian Alvarez, the Atletico Madrid player, and Joao Pedro, the Chelsea striker, before Ramos’s name appeared as a new option.

According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, citing English reports, Paris Saint-Germain is not closing the door to selling Ramos, who joined the team from Benfica in the summer of 2024 for 65 million euros.

The Portuguese striker does not seem satisfied with his role under Luis Enrique, after he was mostly content with the bench this season, despite scoring 12 goals in 41 matches.

Ramos did not start any match in the Champions League, and he played less than half of the available minutes in the French League.

The difficulty of contracting with Alvarez or Joao Pedro, due to Atletico Madrid and Chelsea’s commitment to their services, may push Barcelona to move towards the Gonzalo Ramos option in the summer. (coora)
