Robinho Jr., the Santos star and son of the legendary Robinho, threatened to terminate his contract with the club after being subjected to what he described as “insult and assault” by his colleague Neymar during training.
According to what was reported by the Brazilian newspaper “Globo”, representatives of the 18-year-old player sent an informal notification to the Santos administration on Monday, requesting urgent intervention regarding the incident that occurred during the training session on Sunday morning, in which Neymar was allegedly involved.
Robinho Jr. also sent an official letter to the club management, containing three accusations against Neymar, demanding that an urgent meeting be held to discuss the possibility of terminating his contract, justifying this by “the absence of minimum safety conditions within the club.”
According to his account, Neymar insulted him, obstructed him, and then slapped him forcefully in the face inside the Rey Pele training center.
In his speech, the young player hinted that what happened might prompt him to end his contractual association with Santos.
On the other hand, his legal team called on the club to take four measures within 48 hours, including opening an internal investigation, handing over training recordings, issuing an official clarification about what happened, and setting a date for a meeting to discuss terminating the contract.
The team warned that if Santos did not respond, this would be considered a “breach of contractual trust,” which could lead to an indirect termination of the contract, with the threat of immediate legal action, in addition to demanding material and moral compensation.
