Dusty weather with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees...then rain!

The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Department in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expected that Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin would be affected by warm air masses laden with layers of dust that would lead to a noticeable rise in temperatures to exceed their seasonal averages. The hot masses begin to gradually recede starting at noon on Friday, so that the region is affected by an air depression that leads to temperatures returning to normal, and the weather turns volatile with muddy rain falling, and its effect continues until noon on Monday, when the weather returns to stability.

Expected weather in Lebanon:

Thursday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with high clouds with light layers of dust and an additional rise in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees on the coast. Clouds thicken in the afternoon and the weather becomes ready for scattered and muddy rain in the interior areas with the possibility of thunderstorms forming.

Friday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with layers of dust and temperatures higher than their seasonal averages, which begin to drop rapidly starting in the afternoon with an increase in humidity, causing fog to form on the highlands and clouds to thicken with the possibility of scattered, muddy rain falling, which intensifies in the evening, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds, especially in the south of the country.

Saturday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with fog in the highlands and a noticeable drop in temperatures. The winds will be active, reaching speeds of 70 km/h, and scattered rain will fall before noon. We will witness widespread relief during the day, with rain returning at night.

Sunday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog in the highlands and a further drop in temperatures, which return to seasonal levels. Scattered rain will fall with the possibility of lightning, thunder and active winds.

Surface winds: northwesterly to northeasterly, speeds between 10 and 35 km/h, active in the afternoon up to 55 km/h, especially in the south of the country.
Visibility: Average, sometimes worsened by dust.
Relative humidity on the coast is between 30 and 70%.
Sea condition: average wave height.
Water surface temperature: 19°C.
Atmospheric pressure: 1010 HPA, equivalent to 758 mm Hg.
Sunrise hour: 06:05.
Sunset hour: 19:11.
