Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee announced through his account on the “X” platform that two days ago, the Israeli army carried out a large-scale attack targeting Hezbollah military sites and infrastructure simultaneously in three different regions: Beirut, the Bekaa, and southern Lebanon.
He explained that this operation relied on intelligence information that he described as “accurate and qualitative,” and using “unique” capabilities that enabled them to target multiple areas simultaneously within just one minute.
He stated that, according to a preliminary intelligence assessment by the Military Intelligence Authority, “more than 180 Hezbollah members were eliminated,” and noted that “the counting is still continuing at these moments.”
He reported that the attack targeted about 100 targets in the three regions in parallel, including more than 45 central headquarters and about 40 military buildings, in addition to other infrastructure belonging to senior party leaders.
In detailing the operation, he explained that the raids in Beirut targeted about 35 military sites, including an emergency headquarters for the intelligence unit, a headquarters for the “Radwan Force” unit, and a headquarters for the missile unit.
In southern Lebanon, about 40 additional sites were targeted, including weapons depots, while in the Bekaa, the strikes targeted the headquarters of the Radwan Force and the Intelligence Unit, in addition to other infrastructure.
According to Adraee, these headquarters were used to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli army forces and Israeli citizens during the recent period, especially in the context of the current confrontations.
He considered that the raids “constitute a major and profound blow to Hezbollah’s operational and leadership capabilities,” and noted that “steps were taken to reduce harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and air surveillance” before launching the attacks.
