A new application that will not let you forget your tasks

Independent developer Marco Arment, owner of Overcast and Instapaper and former CTO of Tumblr, has launched his new app UnforgettableIt is an alternative to Apple’s Reminders app, designed specifically for people who tend to postpone tasks or ignore alerts.

The application works on iPhone and Mac devices based on the user’s existing “reminders” database, which means that he does not need to move or re-enter tasks again.

Unforgetful aims to address a number of problems that Arment believes make the Apple app impractical for some users, most notably the possibility of losing the reminder after ignoring the notification or not specifying a time for it, which may lead to an alert not arriving at the required time.

The application is characterized by: Notifications recur automatically even if they are ignored, and do not stop until the task is completed and deleted. It also redesigned the snooze reminders feature, so that the time intervals change gradually as the user continues to postpone the task, while avoiding being overwhelmed with a large number of tasks at the same time.

The application maintained a simple interface, without tabs, multiple display modes, or complex organization tools, while providing additional features such as entering reminders by voice via a built-in microphone, along with a set of widgets for the lock screen and control center.

One of the most prominent features of Unforgetful is its direct integration with Apple’s “Reminders” database, as the user can continue adding tasks in the usual way, including via Siri, then disable Apple app notifications and rely on new app notifications.

And it is available Unforgettable For iOS and Mac vs $19.99 annually.
