Israeli media announced a new security breach, claiming that the Iranian “Handala Group” had gained access to highly sensitive and confidential information and data belonging to a senior military official in Israel.
It is reported that this data includes precise personal and military details related to the former Israeli Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevy, which raises concerns about the possibility of exploiting it in subsequent electronic espionage operations, especially with the group’s increasing capabilities in the field of electronic warfare.
In a related context, sources warned that this development represents a new blow to Israeli digital security, and raises question marks about the extent to which military systems are secured against intrusions.
It is worth noting that a few days ago, the “Handala” account published, for the first time, an exclusive photo of the core team responsible for designing and developing the “Hermes” drone at Elbit Systems. The group had also previously published 14 gigabytes of personal and highly confidential documents belonging to the former head of the Israeli Mossad, Tamir Pardo.
