President Joseph Aoun received a phone call from the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Emir’s firm positions in support of Lebanon and its people. President Aoun praised Qatar’s continued support for Lebanon in various fields, especially urgent medical and relief aid.
In turn, Sheikh Tamim offered his sincere condolences and those of the Qatari people to President Aoun for the victims of the “continuing Israeli attacks on Lebanon,” stressing “Qatar’s solidarity with Lebanon in difficult circumstances.”
He also expressed Qatar’s readiness to provide assistance in everything that contributes to ending the “military escalation,” especially through efforts to bring “Lebanon into the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.”
This call comes in the midst of escalating field events on the Lebanese-Israeli border, where the southern regions, in addition to Beirut and the Bekaa, are subjected to repeated raids and attacks.
Qatar is one of the countries that permanently supports Lebanon, especially in emergency humanitarian situations, by providing urgent aid and participating in diplomatic efforts aimed at calming the situation and stopping military operations.
