Daman breaks Yamal's record and enters Champions League history

Coach Mikel Arteta gave the opportunity to his young English player, Max Daumann, to write his name in the history books during the match between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.

Arsenal achieved a valuable victory away from home with a score of 1-0 in the first leg of the quarter-finals, and the match witnessed the participation of the 16-year-old “Dauman” as a substitute in the second half.

According to what was announced by the official account of the tournament on the “X” platform, “Dauman” was able to break the record held by the star “Lamin Yamal”, to become the youngest player to participate in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

“Dauman” surpassed “Yamal” as he participated at the age of 16 years and 97 days, surpassing the record of a “Barcelona” player who played a match in the knockout stages at the age of 16 years and 272 days.
