A recent technical report showed that the upcoming “Samsung Galaxy Ultra 5” watch will have high-speed connection capabilities to 5G networks, keeping in mind that the actual performance of this feature will vary depending on the geographical region. Expectations indicate that the company will launch two models of the watch, one of which supports the fourth generation 4G and the other supports the fifth generation 5G, provided that the availability of each model varies depending on the country.
According to what was reported by the Dutch “Galaxy Club” website, a series of model numbers were discovered on Samsung servers, and they clearly indicate upcoming versions of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. These versions will support 5G and 4G networks in addition to Wi-Fi, serving as a new generation of the original model that debuted in 2024.
The site’s experts expect that the version supporting 5G networks will be launched in major markets such as the United States and South Korea, while the version supporting 4G networks will be available in the rest of the world.
In the American market, the 5G version of the Galaxy Watch Ultra will enter into direct competition with the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which also supports 5G technology and was first launched in the fall of last year. As for the 4G version, it is expected to have wider spread around the world, due to the fact that fourth generation networks are available on a much wider scale.
