On Sunday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon carried out a series of military operations targeting Israeli army sites and gatherings in the front villages in the south, in addition to settlements in northern occupied Palestine, “in defense of Lebanon and its people.”
In details, the resistance reported that its fighters detonated an explosive device in an Israeli force near the citadel of the town of Shama at 17:40, which led to confirmed casualties, then they targeted the evacuation force that arrived at the place with artillery shells.
At 12:40, the resistance also targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the Al-Sidr area and Ghadamatha Hill in the town of Ainata with missile salvos, before expanding the targeting area at 13:00 towards another gathering at Farez Hill, and at 13:30 towards Ghadamatha Hill again.
In a simultaneous escalation, it announced the targeting of a gathering of Israeli army soldiers and vehicles east of the Khiam detention center at 17:30 and 17:35, with successive missile salvoes.
As part of the warnings directed to the settlements in the north, the resistance targeted the “Nahariya” settlement at 18:05 with a rocket salvo, before targeting it again at 18:10, while another salvo targeted the “Al-Matula” settlement at 17:30.
It indicated that simultaneous strikes were carried out at 11:50, targeting Israeli military infrastructure in the “Karmiel” and “Katzrin” settlements and the city of Safed, with missile salvoes.
It also announced the targeting of the “Meron” base for monitoring and managing air operations at 15:00, in a move that reflects the expansion of the scope of operations towards strategic locations.
In a remarkable development, the resistance confirmed that an administrative base for logistical support affiliated with the Northern Region Command, north of the city of Akka, had been targeted at 19:00, by an attack drone.
It also targeted, at 10:00, a gathering of Israeli army soldiers at the Al-Malikiyah site with a missile salvo, followed at 10:15 by an assault drone attack on the same site, achieving a direct hit.
It also announced that a gathering of Israeli army soldiers had been targeted at the site of Hadbat al-Ajl, north of the “Kavaryoval” settlement, at 17:20, by a swarm of attack drones.
In its statement No. (5), the resistance had announced, at 00:05, that an Israeli military battleship had been targeted, 68 nautical miles off the Lebanese coast, with a naval cruise missile, confirming that it had been hit directly after careful monitoring.
On the other hand, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted Israeli sources criticizing the statements issued by the political and military leadership, considering that talk about the defeat of Hezbollah and Iran “will end in disappointment,” indicating that the party’s disarmament will not be achieved despite the escalating pace of official statements.
