Israeli news reports stated that Hezbollah fired five missiles towards the Kriot area in Haifa, where Israeli forces were able to intercept four of them, while the fifth missile landed in an empty area.
According to what was published by the Times of Israel newspaper, these missiles were launched earlier, confirming that the air defense systems responded to most of them, and that the last missile did not fall in a residential area.
This incident comes in light of the continuous escalation of field operations between Israel and Hezbollah, after intense Israeli raids targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, which led to the martyrdom of three Hezbollah members, according to what Agence France-Presse quoted a security source as saying.
The Ministry of Health also announced the death of one person and the injury of seventeen people in the Israeli raid that targeted the Al-Rehab area in the suburb, following a warning issued by the Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, on the X platform, where he called on residents of a number of neighborhoods in the suburb to leave immediately.
The scope of the escalation extended to the south, where the commercial market in Bint Jbeil was targeted by a violent raid, in addition to raids on Srifa and artillery shelling that targeted Deir Kifa and Srifa, which indicates the expansion of the scope of confrontations between the two parties.
