Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said that during the past hours, the army carried out a series of air strikes targeting dozens of sites and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in various areas of Lebanese territory, and confirmed the killing of two important members of the communications unit.
According to his statements, the raids targeted the Beirut area yesterday, targeting “Ayoub Hussein Yaqoub,” who was described as an important element in Hezbollah’s communications unit, and who had previously held a high position in the missile unit. He also played a role in managing fire and directing launching and bombing operations towards Israel during Operation “Shamal Arrows,” in addition to his participation in building and strengthening the capabilities of the missile unit.
He also added that the raids also led to the killing of Yasser Muhammad Mubarak, another important member of the communications unit, who at the same time held a position in the missile unit.
“Adraee” stated that during the past night hours, the Israeli army launched air and sea raids on dozens of targets in southern Lebanon, with the aim of supporting the ground forces operating there, and as part of the efforts made to undermine Hezbollah’s capabilities. The operations included targeting weapons depots, launching pads, military buildings and other infrastructure.
At the conclusion of his statement, he stressed that the army is currently continuing to carry out attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure throughout Lebanon.
