The Department of Information and Public Relations at the General Directorate of Civil Defense stated in a statement issued by it that: “At approximately eight o’clock in the evening on 3/17/2026, eleven Civil Defense members from several of the Nabatieh Regional Center were injured with varying injuries, as a result of an air strike launched by the Israeli army that targeted a building located about twenty meters from the Nabatieh Regional Center.”
The statement stated that “the intensity of the explosion resulted in direct injuries to eleven members while they were in the center, which required their transfer to nearby hospitals to receive the necessary treatment, as their injuries were described as scattered.”
The directorate also indicated that the raid “also caused serious damage to the center and machinery.”
The General Directorate of Civil Defense stressed “the continued readiness of its teams around the clock, and the continuation of performing their duties in serving citizens, despite the increasing risks and challenges.”
