A former chef who worked for Neymar filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of forcing her to work in harsh conditions that led to the deterioration of her health. The chef claims that she suffered from back pain and hip inflammation as a result of work pressures. She was cooking for more than 150 people every day and working very long hours.
According to the lawsuit, the cook worked at the player’s home in Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, between July of last year and February of this year. She confirms that she was sometimes forced to work more than 16 hours a day, even on vacation, in addition to carrying heavy weights and continuing to work until late at night.
The chef is demanding financial compensation amounting to 262 thousand Brazilian riyals, which includes end-of-service benefits, overtime wages, unused rest periods, compensation for the moral damages she suffered, in addition to medical expenses. So far, no official statement has been issued by Neymar or any of his representatives to comment on these allegations.
