During the meeting that took place in the minister’s office, Mneimneh gave a comprehensive presentation of the institution’s vision on how to support and promote important investment projects. He stressed that developing the transportation sector contributes significantly to strengthening Lebanon’s position as a regional business center, and provides strong competitive incentives that attract investors from inside and outside the country.
For his part, Minister Rasamny gave a detailed review of the vital projects that the Ministry is working on, most notably the Qlayaat Airport development project. He revealed that work is currently underway to prepare the book of conditions for the project, in preparation for its launch in accordance with applicable international technical and environmental standards.
The two parties stressed the extreme importance of integration and cooperation between the Ministry and IDAL in order to advance economic growth in the country. They also stressed the need to unify efforts to promote the investment opportunities available in the infrastructure sector, through the use of modern and advanced promotional tools aimed at establishing effective partnerships with the private sector at the local and international levels.
