US President Donald Trump’s private club hosted a lavish Latin event that included Spanish-language art performances, as well as an artificial intelligence-generated video showing a smiling Trump dancing to a Spanish-Venezuelan song titled “Los Comunistas Donde Están” (“Where Are the Communists?”), according to videos circulating on social media.

During the event, attendees waved the flags of Latin American countries on the stage, in a scene similar to what Latin singer Bad Bunny and his dancers did during the Super Bowl halftime show last week.

The event was held under the title “Hispanic Prosperity Gala” at Mar-a-Lago on February 10, and it is the first event of its kind organized in this place, where Argentine President Javier Milley participated as a keynote speaker, and in his speech he praised the “MAGA” movement, which Trump had previously described as his “favorite president.”

This event came days after Trump criticized Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance due to his performance in Spanish, where he said: “No one understands a word what this guy is saying.” Trump also wrote on the Truth Social platform: “The Super Bowl halftime show is very bad, one of the worst ever! It is meaningless, an insult to the greatness of America, and does not represent our standards for success, creativity, or excellence.”

Despite this, during the party at his private club, an artificial intelligence-generated video was shown showing Trump dancing to Spanish music. The video shows a shirtless Trump dancing alongside authoritarian leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. It also includes surreal scenes showing Putin and Xi slow dancing and holding hands with Trump.

Other footage shows Trump spinning in a dance circle, then appearing in front of the White House, flying in the air to the beat of the song, which was composed after the kidnapping of former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a US night operation, according to reports.

The sold-out event was held in partnership between Latino Wall Street and the conservative America First Policy Institute. A number of figures affiliated with the “MAGA” movement participated in it, including Rudy Giuliani, Roger Stone, and Michael Flynn, according to the Palm Beach Post. A number of influential Latin figures also attended, including Latin Grammy winner Nacho and US Ambassador to Argentina Peter Lamelas.

Pictures from the ceremony showed hundreds of guests in formal clothes walking on the red carpet and gathering near the large crystal pool, where two women appeared disguised as mermaids. The event came at a time when Trump’s popularity was declining among Latino voters, who had voted for him in large numbers in the 2024 elections.

The Daily Beast reportedly contacted the Trump Organization to request comment on what happened.
