Hani Bohsali, head of the Food Importers Syndicate, issued a statement aimed at allaying the fears of Lebanese citizens before the holy month of Ramadan. Bohsali confirmed in his statement that various types of foodstuffs are available in large quantities from importers, and revealed that the current food stock in Lebanon is sufficient for a period of approximately three months.

In a related context, Bohsali indicated that the rise in the price of the euro compared to the dollar will not negatively affect the ability to purchase any type of food. He explained that importers have diversified their sources of food imports in recent years, and were not limited to European goods only, which provided the Lebanese consumer with multiple options at lower prices and high quality.

Bohsali concluded his statement by congratulating the Lebanese people on the approaching advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing that it would bring goodness, blessings and tranquility to all the Lebanese.
