The WhatsApp crisis knocks Courtois out of the Belgium national team

Real Madrid’s Spanish goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, admitted that he had been excluded from the Belgian national team’s WhatsApp group, due to the recent tensions in his relationship with the Red Devils.

In a press interview with the “DAZN” network, Courtois explained that he had been removed from the team group designated for exchanging logistical information, such as training dates, pointing out that communication with his teammates had become limited to limited individual messages.

This exclusion comes as an extension of the goalkeeper’s absence from the national team following his previous dispute with former coach Domenico Tedesco, before he recently announced his willingness to return, expressing his desire to get some rest during the European Nations League competition period.

In a related context, Courtois stressed that it is not a requirement to guarantee basic participation in the national team’s lineup, stressing his full understanding and acceptance of the decisions of the technical staff in the event of relying on other goalkeepers.

The Belgian goalkeeper concluded his statements by expressing his optimism about the future of the team under the technical leadership of new coach Mark van Bommel, stressing that the team is moving steadily in the right direction.
