Qablan warns of the danger of targeting an entire sect and warns against igniting strife

The distinguished Jaafari Mufti, Sheikh Ahmed Qabalan, warned of the danger of the policies pursued by the executive authority, considering that they had become “a fuse of war directed against an entire sect.” He accused the authority of working within an American project that aims to “encircle the Shiite community politically, logistically, media, financially, security, and livelihood,” pointing out that what it is doing represents “the most dangerous security, political, and sovereign decision to implement a destructive divisive project.”

In a statement, Qabalan stressed that the presence of an effective state is an urgent necessity, especially on the borders and fronts of war and national, social and economic relief. He criticized the state by saying: “The state that practices the policy of starvation, impoverishment, abandonment and suffocation against its people is the last person who has the right to talk about national justice, a security presence and to strike with an iron fist.” He described the authority’s performance as “an internal employee of a despicable American project” whose mission is limited to “internal suicide” and serving the agenda of “new Guardianship Minister Marco Rubio,” referring to its connection to “the American-Zionist framework agreement with the ruling team.”

Mufti Al-Jaafari affirmed that the Shiite community, through “the Amal Movement, Hezbollah, and the environment of the resistance duo,” made huge sacrifices over the course of half a century to liberate Lebanon and fight national defense wars, considering that it has a “sovereign, national, and existential debt on the neck of this country” that many centuries have been unable to repay. He warned against the consequences of committing any mistake against the sect or its national representatives, stressing that it was targeted because of its role in defending Lebanon in the face of the wars of America, Israel, and NATO.

Qabalan concluded his statement by emphasizing that the Shiite community cannot be uprooted by the armies of the world, stressing that “the fire that can burn Lebanon exists only in the hands of the executive authority that works for the Washington-Tel Aviv security deal.” He advised the “godfather of the American-Zionist game” to read the history of Lebanon and the region’s transformations well, warning against continuing this “cheap, dangerous, and extremely sectarian game” to avoid losing the homeland.
