A member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” parliamentary bloc, Representative Dr. Ihab Hamadeh said that attempts to portray Hezbollah and its nurturing environment in a position of weakness fall within a “thought-out agenda,” stressing that bets on weakening the resistance or disarming it have failed.
In his speech during a memorial ceremony held by Hezbollah in the town of Al-Bazaliya on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyr Ali Hussein Al-Bazzal, Hamadeh explained that the media and political campaigns targeting the resistance community aim to reflect an unreal image of its reality, stressing that the opponents “know with certainty that they are unable to confront this community.”
Hamadeh pointed out that the current stage reveals “the true vision of the convictions” of the opposing parties, asserting that “no one has the ability, neither in Lebanon nor outside it, to weaken the resistance, disarm it, or insult its society,” adding that the path of political discourse is moving towards talking about “alternatives in dealing with the resistance community” after the disarmament option was not achieved.
The MP attacked the parties that had bet over the past forty years on undermining the resistance, recalling that it started with limited capabilities to develop and become “the main influencer at the region level,” describing “Hezbollah” as “the greatest concern for Israel and the Americans in the region.”
Hamadeh concluded by saying that the intense political and media focus on the party does not reflect a weakness in it, but rather stems from the extent of its influence and role, adding that the targeting of the party and its community continues “because it preoccupies their presence and terrifies the enemies.” The celebration concluded with the recitation of Hosseini’s condolences by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Haq.
