The Milan team lost a golden opportunity to compete with Roma for third place and move closer to the top of the Italian Football League, after it tied with its host Sassuolo by a goal to the same, in the match that was held in the sixth round of the competition.
With these results, Milan raised its score to 12 points to occupy fourth place, two points behind third-placed Roma – which had drawn 0-0 with Como earlier on Sunday – and four points behind both leaders Inter Milan and runner-up Lazio. On the other hand, Sassuolo raised its score to 8 points, settling in tenth place.
As for the course of the match, the French player Adrien Rabiot succeeded in opening the scoring for Milan in the 63rd minute, but the home team’s response did not take long, as the Dutchman KAS Odenthal was able to score the equalizer for Sassuolo only five minutes after the lead goal (68th minute).
