Within the framework of supporting the education process and standing by families in southern Lebanon with the start of the new academic year, the Lebanese Army, in cooperation with the Italian bilateral military mission in Lebanon (MIBIL), implemented a humanitarian initiative that included distributing school bags and stationery supplies to students.
The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance explained, in a statement, that this initiative was implemented through the Directorate of Military-Civil Cooperation (CIMIC) during October 7 and 9, 2026.
The campaign included the distribution of about 1,100 school bags, fully equipped with stationery, and were allocated to students of a number of public schools in various southern towns.
The Army Command confirmed that this step aims to support students in the southern regions and facilitate their return to school, stressing the importance of consolidating their basic right to education despite all circumstances.
This aid comes within a series of ongoing military-civilian cooperation programs, which are implemented by the Lebanese Army in partnership with friendly and friendly countries to support the educational sector and ease the burdens on the people in the south.
