Hezbollah’s Baalbek sector commemorated the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the party’s former Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, with a public celebration that included raising the banner of the party and the resistance.
The celebration was held in the presence of a member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, MP Ali Al-Miqdad, and the official of the Baalbek sector in the party, Youssef Al-Yahfoufi, in addition to a crowd of municipal, elective, scouting and social activities.
In his speech on the occasion, Representative Al-Miqdad affirmed the firm adherence to the resistance, saying: “We will preserve this flag, because preserving it means preserving the resistance and the resistors, and preserving the sacrifices of the martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners, so that this pure land remains impervious to the enemies, and to defend our people and all the Lebanese in the face of the expansionist Zionist project, which is greedy for our land, our wealth, and our water.”
He added: “The occupation will disappear, and the banner of resistance will remain flying. With God’s help, we will achieve the complete liberation of the occupied land. Victory comes only from God.” He continued, stressing: “We are in the covenant. We will preserve the trust of the martyrs, and at their forefront are the master of the nation’s martyrs, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah, Mr. Al-Hashemi, and the master of the martyrs of the resistance, Mr. Abbas Al-Moussawi, and we will not deviate from the approach of supporting the truth and confronting injustice and oppressors.”
Regarding the local political issue, Al-Miqdad directed sharp criticism at the authority, noting by saying: “We say to this authority that took Lebanon to a place that does not befit it, and signed the agreement of humiliation and shame, and gave up sovereignty and rights, and neglected all elements of power. We say to these people that turning away from mistakes is a virtue, for Lebanon is the country of resistance, pride, and loyalty, not the country of humiliation and humiliation.”
It is noteworthy that this event comes in the context of commemorating the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted the central command headquarters of Hezbollah in the southern suburb of Beirut on September 27, 2024.
