Within the framework of a dual strategy that combines field military operations and targeting financing networks, the Israeli army announced the implementation of a series of operations in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, which resulted in the destruction of an underground path about two kilometers long, and the targeting of two prominent members of the Hamas movement.
According to a report by journalist Avi Ashkenazi published by the Maariv newspaper, forces from the Givati Brigade’s combat team and the Yahalom unit, led by the engineering unit of the 143rd Division in the Gaza region, are working to remove military infrastructure in the “Yellow Line” area in the south of the Strip, where the forces found and destroyed an underground track about two kilometers long.
In parallel, the Israeli army and the Shin Bet carried out two separate air strikes targeting two Hamas members, as part of efforts to undermine the movement’s funding capabilities and prevent the rebuilding of the movement’s military structure. The army explained that a raid yesterday in the Deir al-Balah area targeted Jaber Kamal Muqbel, whom it described as a member of the military wing and a prominent figure in the financing system, pointing out that he was leading the “Muqbel” exchange network, which transferred millions of shekels of foreign funds to finance Hamas members and rehabilitate its military structure.
In another air attack that took place yesterday in the Khan Yunis area, the Israeli army announced the martyrdom of Hassan Al-Batta, whom it considered a member of the sniper system of the military wing of the Hamas movement. The army accused the two members of preparing for operations against Israeli forces and civilians, and participating in rebuilding the movement’s capabilities, in addition to what it described as a “systematic violation of the ceasefire.”
