The Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar, announced serious efforts to restore normal work at the Nabatieh Palace of Justice as soon as possible, stressing that this file will be presented to the Supreme Judicial Council at its scheduled meeting next Monday.
Nassar explained, in a post on the “X” platform in which the controversy was resolved “to prevent any confusion,” that the steps to restart work came as a culmination of a field visit he conducted to the Nabatieh region, which included consultations with the mayors of Nabatieh and Kafrman and a number of security officials, followed by a closed meeting that included the first president of the Court of Appeal, the Public Prosecutor of Appeal, and the first investigating judge.
The Minister of Justice stated that the joint meeting concluded with the need to resume normal work in the judicial facility as soon as possible, in parallel with a system of security and logistical measures that guarantee the protection of judicial files and prepare for any emergency.
Nassar indicated that he had made coordination contacts that included the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the President of the Bar Association, who expressed their full support for the direction to reactivate work at the Nabatieh Palace of Justice, in preparation for the file to be officially presented before the Supreme Judicial Council to complete the necessary procedures and measures next Monday.
