Atletico Madrid rose to fourth place in the Spanish Football League, after defeating its host Real Sociedad 3-0, on Sunday, in the fifth round of competitions.
Atletico raised its score to 10 points, advancing to fourth place on goal difference behind Deportivo Alaves, which is in third place, while Real Sociedad’s score froze at 7 points in twelfth place.
Atletico waited until the 84th minute to decode the hosts’ defense, when Alex Grimaldo opened the scoring, after a match that remained equal and without goals for a long time.
Jonathan David added the second goal in the 90th minute, before Giovanni Simeone completed the hat-trick in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
