Ronnie criticizes Salah: Watch Liverpool’s defense “torn” without moving

Former Manchester United legend Win Rooney criticized the performance of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah during the Liverpool and Chelsea match, considering that he was satisfied with watching while the right side of his team’s defense was “exposed to tearing” from the “Blues” attacks.

Ronnie said on his audio blog on “BBC” that Salah did not show any defensive effort, indicating that this failure contributed to the deadly victory goal scored by Estvo in the 95th minute.

He added: “We know that Salah does not defend much, but what happened before Chelsea was very worrying, and the leader Van Dyck should intervene to inform him of the necessity of defensive support.”

Rooney explained that he did not demand the exclusion of Salah, but he likened the situation to Cristiano Ronaldo in Manchester United, when coach Ferguson moved the Portuguese star to the depth to maintain the balance of the team.

He concluded by saying: “Salah is an exceptional offensive player, but his defensive commitment needs to be reviewed.”
