Movement through the Strait of Hormuz is at the lowest level in 3 months

Preliminary shipping data showed, on Tuesday, that only one ship shipping primary goods crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, which is the lowest number since the seventh of last May.

Preliminary data from the ship-tracking company Kpler showed that one huge gas tanker entered the strait coming from the Gulf of Oman on Monday, compared to 6 ships of various types on Sunday.

These numbers may change later, because some ships turned off their transmitters and receivers during their passage.

With 6 months having passed since the start of the war on Iran, the conflict does not seem close to ending.

On Monday, Iran vowed to respond to the expanded US economic sanctions, which Washington said would cut off its economic lifeline, while Tehran expressed confidence that its main trading partners would resist the pressure campaign.
